The HooToo HT-WK01 7-Colour Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard

The HooToo HT-WK01 7-colour backlit bluetooth keyboard is a very nice piece of technology, it does exactly what you need from a wireless keyboard and it does it well.

First impressions are everything and this keyboard from HooToo makes a perfect impression with the super swish packaging that it comes in. The box is simple and resembles that of an Apple package with no over complications of colours and pictures. Once you open the box a foam sheet protects the keyboard from the box which is a very nice addition and if that isn’t enough there is also a plastic sheeting that hugs the keyboard to make sure there are no scratches on the keys, below the keyboard is the user manual and the charger, a simple packaging system containing three things because that is all you need. Simple is the key thing with this keyboard. Simple and perfect.

The first thing you notice when you pick up the keyboard is how incredibly light it is, it feels like you are picking up a few sheets of paper, it is staggering that this keyboard can function at such a high rate with how light it feels. Once you are finished throwing it from hand to hand waiting for it to fly away like a feather you finally get round to using it. With having no clue on how to connect a wireless keyboard I look to the instructions, with a turn of the page there was a six step instruction layout that explained everything perfectly, all you had to do was turn on the Bluetooth of the device you want to connect to, pair the two devices and then enter the code given and then you’re in.

One of the main features is the 7 different backlit colours that you can choose from, these are all very nice and are bright enough to actually matter but not too bright to blind you, they will however drain the battery faster than if they were to be off but you can always choose to not have them if you start to get precious over your battery life.

All in all, this keyboard is a very good bit of technology and I am very happy with the one that I own. The main feature that makes it stand out from the crowd is the size and weight of it, it isn’t too small that the keyboard is shrunk and your fingers press all the wrong keys it is just right and it is also so light that if you were to carry around an IPad Air as well as this you would feel no weight difference.

I will give this keyboard a personal 8/10 it does everything I want it to do and does it very well, there could personally be more colours and maybe even custom colours, there is sometimes some input lag but it never misses a letter as it catches up after a couple of seconds, but it is perfect for a keyboard on the move.
